Program Fees

We are a self-pay program and are not in-network for insurance plans (apart from select HUP/Penn employee and student plans). You will be required to pay at the time of service. You may be able to collect reimbursement from your insurance company depending on your plan. We gladly accept payment in the form of cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard.

We recommend that you contact your insurance carrier if you have further questions.

Does insurance cover my treatment?

The Penn Adult ADHD Treatment and Research Program is out-of-network with most insurance carriers. With the exception of HUP employees and some Penn employees and Penn students who are covered under the Penn student plan, obtaining reimbursement from insurance companies is the responsibility of the patient. Payment in full is expected at time of service. You will be given a receipt which has all the information usually required by insurance companies to be reimbursed. However, given there are so many variables, it is wise to call your insurance company with specific questions about your out-of-network coverage.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MEDICARE AND CBH: The Penn Adult ADHD Treatment and Research Program IS NOT a participating provider under Medicare. If you are a Medicare patient we can provide you with referrals for other qualified providers. The Penn Adult ADHD Treatment and Research Program also CANNOT see CBH patients. We can refer CBH patients to other practitioners.
