Mission and Vision

The Adult Developmental Disorders Section of the Department of Psychiatry provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services, conducts translational and clinical research, and offers professional training and community education and outreach programs on behalf of adults with psychiatric conditions associated with developmental disabilities. Patients with a range of disorders (including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Tourette Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, etc.) whose quality of life is affected by psychiatric conditions such as Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse and Adjustment Disorders are offered state-of-the-art clinical care by a multi-disciplinary team of academically oriented mental health providers.
