Indoor Recreation Facilities
David Pottruck Health and Fitness Center–17,000 square feet of fitness space, olympic-sized pool and coed sauna, basketball courts, climbing wall, golf simulator, juice bar, pro shop, dance/martial arts studio, locker/shower facilities, and the Department of Recreation administrative offices. Hutchinson Gymnasium–houses a multi-purpose gymnasium, the Penn Fitness Center, a dance studio, the Ringe Squash Courts and locker/shower facilities.
Outdoor Recreation Facilities
Bower Field–a lighted recreational outdoor field space used for informal play, Sport Club practices and competitions and Intramural Sport.
Hill Field–available for informal play, Sports Club practices and Intramural Sport.
Penn Park-24 acres of continuous open space that includes athletic and recreational facilities for softball, tennis, and paths for walking and jogging.
38th Street Outdoor Basketball Court–located on the top of the 38th Street Parking Garage.
The Student Health Service, located at 35th and Market Streets, maintains a staff of physicians who treat and advise students. A brochure describing the services provided and explaining student health insurance coverage is available at the Student Health Service. Full-time students are eligible for those benefits through payment of the general fee, subscription to the student health insurance company or the possession of equivalent commercial coverage, and after filing an official medical record with the Student Health Service.
