Behavioral Economics and Health for an Aging Population
The 2012 Sylvan M. Cohen Annual Retreat with Poster Session on Aging will be held on May 15, 2012, in the Translational Research Center, attached to the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine (3400 Civic Center Boulevard) here on Penn's campus.
The IOA will be partnering with the Penn-CMU Roybal P30 Center on Behavioral Economics and Health to present the 2012 retreat, with its focus on "Behavioral Economics and Health for an Aging Population" and the annual poster session.
Registration
Registration is required to attend and/or present a poster. Lunch will be provided to those who register.

The Speakers at the 2012 Annual Retreat
The Sylvan M. Cohen Visiting Scholar for the 2012 Annual Retreat will be Troyen A. Brennan, MD, MPH, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, CVS Caremark.
Prior to joining CVS Caremark, Dr. Brennan was Chief Medical Officer of Aetna Inc. From 2000 to 2005, Dr. Brennan served as President and CEO of Brigham and Women's Physician's Organization. In his academic work, he was Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Law and Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Brennan received his MD and MPH degrees from Yale Medical School and his JD degree from Yale Law School. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.

A panel of Penn researchers and faculty will be discussing issues of behavioral economics and health for an aging population.
The Poster Session on Aging
The annual Poster Sesson on Aging will follow the lectures and is open to all who wish to participate. Posters on aging and aging-related disease research in basic science, clinical science, education and outreach and other areas are welcome. A glimpse of the poster session can be viewed here. Prizes will be awarded to the top posters in each category.

Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Palestra lot, entered off of 33rd Street (one way North). Please note that due to reconstruction of the South Street Bridge, the Schuylkill Expressway exit at South Street is closed. The parking fee is $12. It is highly recommended that visitors to campus take Septa as parking is limited.
