Caregiver Conference on Frontotemporal Dementia
On Friday, November 11, 2005, a day-long conference on frontotemporal dementia (FTD) was held for caregivers. The conference took place at the BRB II/III Auditorium on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania from 8:00a.m-5:30 p.m.

International experts discussed state-of-the-art approaches to frontotemporal dementia in a two-day forum held on July 15-16 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Held as a satellite meeting to the 9th International Conference on Alzheimer ’s Disease and Related Disorders, this forum featured experts renowned in their field internationally. Topics included clinical overviews of progressive aphasia and social/personality disorder; structural, functional, and biochemical imaging; CSF tau and other biomarkers; animal models of tauopathies; genetic studies of FTD; and effects of FTDP-17 mutations on tau structure and function.
