PENN Medicine Alumni

The HOST Program matches alumni across the country with 4th year students who are traveling for their residency interviews during the months of October through January.
	Alumni volunteers open their homes to a student (and possible spouse) for one-two overnight stays and/or agree to speak with students who have questions about the residency program or the community where the medical facility is located. Although not required, meals, transportation, and tours are appreciated gestures.

The eight locations in which the program will run during this year are:
Los Angeles Boston San Francisco & Palo Alto New York City	Seattle Washington, D.C. Chicago Raleigh/Durham

The most valuable component of the program is the opportunity for alumni to share their experiences with the students. Alumni can offer an insider’s view of their city and its resources.

This is a great program for alumni who would like to stay involved with Penn, but who live far away and may have little time to offer. The HOST Program also alleviates a small part of the financial burden our students face in their medical education.
