ALUMNI SERVICES
How do I get in touch
with a Penn Med alumna/us?
If you hold a Penn degree, you may
join the Penn Alumni On-Line Community (OLC) for free. Visit
the site at www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/UPN/.
The OLC provides two services: a directory, which contains
the most-up-to-date information the University has about its
alumni, and Alumni E-mail Forwarding. If you do not hold a
Penn degree or do not wish to join the OLC, you may contact
the Office of Medical Alumni Relations at (215) 898-5298 for
further information.
How can I find Penn
alumni in my area?
If you have a copy of the 2001 School
of Medicine Alumni Directory, you will find that alumni are
listed by class, by specialty and by geographic region in
the back of the directory. Otherwise, you may contact the
Office of Medical Alumni Relations at (215) 898-5298 to obtain
a list of names. The directory is published every five years.

access? Email accounts? Email Forwarding?
The Unversity of Pennsylvania offers free, permanent email forwarding.
To sign up you must first register for the Penn Alumni On-Line
Community.

alumni job network?

The next Medical Alumni Weekend is
May 11-14, 2007. Preparation is already underway, but we welcome
alumni volunteers at all stages of planning. To get involved,

How do I nominate
someone for the Distinguished Graduate Award?
The Distinguished Graduate Award, the
highest honor bestowed upon an alumnus, honors the many accomplished
graduates of the School of Medicine. Established in 1982,
the Distinguished Graduate Award recognizes alumni for their
outstanding service to society and to the profession of medicine,
and for notable accomplishments in biomedical research, clinical
practice, or medical education. These accomplishments already
must have resulted in national or international recognition.
Presented annually during Medical Alumni Weekend, the Distinguished
Graduate Award recipients are honored with a special citation
and a bronze medallion. Their names are added to the Distinguished
Graduate Award Plaque mounted in the School of Medicine. To
nominate an alumnus/a for this award, send a letter of nomination
and the nominee’s CV to PENN Medicine Development and Alumni
Relations, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA
19104-3309.
How much money has
my class raised/is in our class fund?
Each fall, the Office of Alumni Development
published Partners in Giving, a list of alumni investors in
the School of Medicine. Class fundraising totals, as well
as participation rates, are listed for the previous fiscal
year. For more detailed or current information, or other fundraising
questions, contact Annual Giving
at (215) 898-5164 or medalum@ben.dev.upenn.edu.
