The Student Ambassador Program
Student ambassadors are current medical students who volunteer to work with the PENN Medicine Office of Alumni Development and Alumni Relations to facilitate connection between their classmates and alumni of the School. Student ambassadors attend alumni events and keep graduates informed about the Medical School and what life is like for the upcoming generation of physicians. This important program enhances the Alumni Office's efforts to cultivate, engage and educate alumni and friends, and ultimately contributes to alumni participation and philanthropy at PENN Medicine.
The Student Ambassador's Role
Student ambassadors interact with alumni across the country:
-
Participating in thank-a-thons
-
Attending specialty receptions and regional events
-
Giving tours of the medical school
-
Participating in Medical Alumni Weekend as student liaisons on designated reunion committees
- Offering a perspective on potential alumni programs and events
A minor time commitment is required.
Qualifications
Participation in all events is not mandatory. Student volunteers are recruited (and can renew) annually for a one-year commitment.
