His particular expertise is in interventions that promote community integration and recovery, including peer support, vocational, and educational support services. He also does research related to measuring community integration and recovery and quality of care.Description of Clinical Expertise
My clinical contributions occur at the health policy, organization, and program levels. This approach is consistent with the services research, public health, and community psychology (a subspecialty in clinical psychology) practice traditions. While not routinely involving direct patient contact, my practice clearly has a direct effect on thousands of persons with serious mental illnesses across the country. My specific practice is in the development of innovative and effective mental health and rehabilitation services and the improvement of current services using program evaluation, workforce development, and continuous quality improvement strategies.Selected Publications
