Description of Research Expertise
Dr. Mandel has expertise in adaptive optimal control theory and pharmacokinetic modelling. He has conducted research in patient-controlled sedation.Description of Clinical Expertise
Dr. Mandel specializes in anesthesia for otorhinolaryngologic procedures, particularly procedures of the trachea and larynx. He has special expertise in high frequency jet ventilation and total intravenous anesthesia. He has also been involved in developing new methods for sedation in GI endoscopy, interventional pulmonary procedures, and cardiac electrophysiology procedures.Description of Other Expertise
Dr. Mandel has formal training in film and video production, and has produced video which has been presented at multiple national meetings.Selected Publications
