Dr. Weintraub has delivered many lectures and moderated small group sessions devoted to studying the interplay of medical science and practice with Halacha (Jewish Law) at several institutions in the Orthodox Jewish community in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania.

Description of Research Expertise

Ari Y. Weintraub's area of research interest is in describing and characterizing the need for and effects of exogenous steroid administration during the perioperative period. As director of anesthesia services for the GI Endoscopy Suite, Dr. Weintraub is actively engaged in ongoing quality improvement and safety reviews of patients undergoing GI endoscopic procedures under general anesthesia. He is also interested in optimal perioperative management of diabetes, congenital hyperinsulinism, and other endocrine disorders in pediatric patients.
