Description of Other Expertise

I have advanced training in communication skills, especially those at the end of life. This expertise is due, in part, to a five day communications skills workshop sponsored by "VitalTalk."
I have also received "train the trainer" education based on an evidence based collaboration between "VitalTalk" and the VA Healthcare System as the VA launched its Life Sustaining Treatment Decisions Initiative.
Finally I have co-taught communication skills via national VitalTalk training courses and for nine years have co-taught communication skills to Palliative Medicine fellows during 4 day workshops.
