Description of Clinical Expertise

Dr. Sudheendra (aka Dr. Sudi) is an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology & Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - Perelman School of Medicine.

His primary areas of expertise include:
• DVT & post-thrombotic syndrome (including May Thurner syndrome)
• Minimally invasive cancer treatments
• Chronic venous insufficiency & varicose veins
• Complex IVC filter retrieval

In addition, Dr. Sudheendra has expertise in surgical critical care medicine – a unique skillset possessed by few IRs practicing today.

Dr. Sudheendra's practice philosophy is centered on a doctor-patient relationship based on integrity, mutual respect, compassion, & education. He firmly believe that patients must have a clear understanding of their medical condition & treatment plan in order to achieve the very best outcomes. He actively educates his patients and the general public about cancer and venous disease through his blog
