Dr. Work focuses on community outreach, community public health, and providing free and low-cost care out in the community. He also has extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and research and in Harm Reduction. Prevention Point Philadelphia is a national leader in Harm Reduction practice and education, including opioid overdose reversal and the provision of Naloxone to first responders, drug users and families of drug users.
He co-directs, attends and teaches at the free student-run United Community Clinic at First African Presbyterian Church in West Philadelphia.
He also attends and teaches at the free Streetside Health Clinic at Prevention Point Philadelphia where he is Chair of the Board and is the Clinical Site Director for the Bridging the Gaps program.
