Description of CVI Expertise
Associate Chair and Chief, Interventional RadiologyCVI Program Unit(s):
Cardiovascular Development / Congenital Heart Disease
Lipid / Atherosclerosis / CAD / ACS / Prevention
Thrombosis / Hemostasis
CVI Research Description:
As an interventional radiologist I have a longstanding interest in peripheral vascular disease. My research focus has largely been in venous disease and hemodialysis access with a particular focus in mechanical thrombolysis. My clinical focus (and more recently a research focus as well), as it pertains to cardiovascular disease in particular, is the management of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations either related to or unrelated to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, as part of the HHT center here at Penn.
