CVI Research Description:
My main research interests are translational approaches to cardiac remodeling in the setting of pediatric heart failure and congenital heart disease. My research is focused on exploration of new serum biomarkers of cardiac remodeling specifically related to the extracellular matrix. We also have ongoing protocols examining genetic modifiers of cardiac remodeling and neurohormonal activation in the setting of cardiomyopathy and single ventricle physiology.
