Description of CVI Expertise

CVI Program Unit(s):
Biotechnology / Nanomedicine / Imaging

CVI Research Description:
I am interested in the non-invasive assessment of arterial function and ventricular-vascular coupling and its role in left ventricular remodeling, dysfunction and heart failure risk. I am particularly interested in the role of the left ventricular loading sequence in patients with heart failure and normal ejection fraction as well as in the role of arterial stiffness and central arterial pressures as predictors of cardiovascular risk. I am also interested in the cardiovascular consequences of obstructive sleep apnea.
