Description of CVI Expertise

CVI Research Description:
Dr. Desjardins' research interests are on the development of new techniques of data acquisition and image processing in cardiovascular MRI and CT. Currently he is 75% NIH-funded to develop advanced MRI techniques for clinical cardiac electrophysiology to assess the relationship between myocardial damage and the development of arrhythmia. He is also interested in dynamic imaging of the left atrium and thoracic aorta.
