Description of Research Expertise

Adolescent Obesity

Description of Itmat Expertise

Dr. Berkowitz's research focuses on the etiology of obesity and its treatment. His research includes a developmental biopsychosocial approach. Current projects focus on the behavioral and pharmacological treatment of obesity in youth and adults. Translational studies within primary care are currently taking place. In addition, basic behavioral and genetic studies are ongoing.
