Description of Research Expertise

My research interest is focused on the study of brain metabolites in vivo in humans (in disease states such as Epilepsy, Schizophrenia, and in acute drug studies) and in preclinical models by MR spectroscopy and CEST MRI. I have been the lead MR scientist for several preclinical and clinical research projects involving the spectroscopic and CEST acquisitions and more recently towards the development of down-field MR spectroscopy. I would like to extend the experience I have gained over the years to study metabolism and capture the early detection and therapeutic monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases/neurological disorders.
