Description of Itmat Expertise
Over the past 18 years I have dedicated my scientific career to a class of membrane proteins known as Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) ion channels. They are a distinct family of Ca2+-permeable non-selective cation channels that have been implicated in a diverse range of cellular processes, including pain and temperature sensation, neuronal development, cardiovascular and renal pathophysiology, and cancer.Selected Publications
