The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery with a focus on Traumatology. Responsibilities include clinical service in health system hospitals, resident and medical school teaching, participation in department sponsored research projects as well as on call responsibilities. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedics.
For the clinician-educator track it is desirable for candidates to have experience in either relevant laboratory or clinical research. Fellowship training is essential.
