The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Sleep Disorders and Addictive Disorders with a focus on alcohol use disorders. Responsibilities include The candidate's research interest should be at the interface of sleep disorders and addictive disorders, especially alcohol use disorders. The candidate should have a prior history of research at this interface of sleep disorders and addictions. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and research.
The applicant should be additionally well grounded in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders as well as addictive disorders. Applicants must have a medical degree, should be board eligible/certified in sleep medicine and board eligible/certified in addiction medicine/psychiatry.
