The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Responsibilities include developing studies of the perineuronal net formation following seizure activity in rodents. He/she will be expected to help supervise laboratory technicians, undergraduate and graduate students in carrying out experiments on the role of the perineuronal net in memory and learning issues in rodents with epilepsy. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.
