The Department of Pharmacology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of pharmacology with a focus on metabolomics. Responsibilities include the development of a collaborative research program that engages investigators in the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) in metabolomics analysis as a relevant component of their research. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
Applicants must have the capability to develop and execute high precision quantitative analysis of the metabolome in biological matrices, such as plasma and urine. Existing extramural funding is not a prerequisite for this position but it is an expectation after the individual is in the position.
