The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Ophthalmology with a focus on Retina and Vitreous Surgery. Responsibilities include attending in resident clinic and operating room, and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Excellence in teaching is required for this position. Successful applicants will be expected to establish and maintain independent, extramurally funded research programs. A 3 year residency in ophthalmology and a 2 year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery is required. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research.
