The Division of Medicine Central in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Full or Associate Professor position in either the tenure track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Board Certified in Infectious Diseases.
Responsibilities include directing the Infectious Diseases Division with an opportunity to build on a strong foundation of excellence, with preeminent research, clinical and education programs. Candidates should have a distinguished record of original basic, translational or clinical research, strong clinical and education skills, commitment to all missions of the Division and excellent mentoring, leadership and administrative abilities. Candidates in the tenure track require a federally funded independent research program that is not required in the Clinician-Educator Track.
