The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on musculoskeletal medicine, pain, spine, or sports medicine. Fellowship training is highly desirable. Responsibilities include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of musculoskeletal, spine, and sports medicine services to a wide range of patients. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

We are seeking candidates interested in expanding our spine, sports and musculoskeletal medicine services in partnership with surgical subspecialists and the allied rehabilitative teams across the Penn Medicine Health System. Such candidates must have excellent clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our outpatient clinical services and advancing our academic missions.

Selected candidates must have well developed technical skills and be able to lead an effective multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. In addition, as an academic faculty member, the selected candidate will be able to teach medical students and residents. Skill in electrodiagnostic evaluations is a plus. Experienced physiatrists with a track record of building programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
