The Cardiovascular Institute at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Full or Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease or Board Certified in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with experience in cardiac imaging.

The Director of Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging of the Penn Heart and Vascular Center will be charged with building clinical, research and educational programs spanning all cardiac imaging modalities including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. The Director will oversee an integrated cardiac imaging program in the Departments of Medicine/Cardiology and Radiology. The Director will work with departmental and health system administration to oversee the clinical operations of noninvasive cardiac imaging with the goal of improving patient services, efficiency and quality of operations. It is anticipated that the Director will be nationally recognized for translational and/or clinical research in cardiac noninvasive imaging and he or she will build Penn’s nationally renowned research program in cardiac imaging. The Director will also be responsible for mentoring junior faculty in the Departments of Medicine/Cardiology and Radiology and for supervision of educational programs in cardiac imaging across Penn Medicine. Evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician educator track; candidates must have an established track record of academic productivity as assessed by record of publication, grant support and/or national leadership. Experience and a track record of academic productivity in more than one imaging modality are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be based at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Heart and Vascular Center. Faculty appointment will be in the Department of Medicine or Radiology.
