The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as a seasoned leader of a rehabilitation service who wants to advance their career and take on the challenges of a Chief Medical Officer for a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Hospital at a premier medical institution. Expertise in the specific area of oversight for clinical services and administrative activities of a 58 bed rehabilitation hospital is required. Responsibilities include overseeing the service lines of rehabilitation care at the University of Pennsylvania, Good Shepherd Penn Partners (jointly owned with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital), and Pennsylvania Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (PIRM) rehabilitation hospital. This individual will insure quality metrics are met and will oversee and develop with the Department Chairman and Hospital leaders a post acute care system that coordinates post-acute care admissions across the three hospitals in the University of Pennsylvania Healthcare System. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
