The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

The successful applicant will have research experience in the fields of translational medicine and human genetics, with additional interest and expertise in a transdisciplinary field such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, ethics law, pharmacology, epidemiology, or molecular biology. The successful applicant must demonstrate a proven record of success primarily through a strong publication record and demonstration of the ability to work independently in designing and conducting social sciences research. Responsibilities of the position include developing a vigorous research program relating to one of the area above. Candidate's who have a J.D. degree are also encouraged apply.
