The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include clinical service at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and its outpatient facilities, on call responsibilities, resident and medical school teaching and research. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and Foot & Ankle Fellowship Trained.
It is desirable for candidates in the clinician educator track to have experience in either relevant laboratory or clinical research.
