Consultative Pulmonologists: Academic Clinician

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine.

The candidate will be expected to build a tertiary-level outpatient consultative practice limited to pulmonary medicine. Additional responsibilities include serving as an attending physician on the pulmonary consultation service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and active engagement in teaching at the medical students, medical resident and pulmonary fellowship levels. Academic Clinicians must have excellent qualifications in medical education and clinical care. Academic Clinicians are welcome but not required to engage in clinical research. The successful candidate can expect to see a broad spectrum of patients with complex and uncommon respiratory diseases in close collaboration with other members of the Penn Lung Center who specialize in pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, chest radiology and lung pathology. The multidisciplinary Penn Lung Center practice suite is located in the new Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine in close proximity to other specialized outpatient practices.
