The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. B/C in Internal Medicine; Certification in Hematology or Oncology is desired but not required.
The successful candidate will join a large group of practitioners who care for patients with all varieties of hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. Ideal candidates will have experience as a practicing hospitalist as well as experience in hematology and/or oncology, however those with less experience will be considered. This position will provide inpatient care supervising both housestaff and well trained nurse practitioners. Hospitalists are activiely engaged in clinical care, teaching and leadership.
