The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of patch clamp electrophysiology with a focus on cocaine addiciton . Responsibilities include supervising graduate and undergraduate students as well as technicians. In addition, the applicant must have potential to develop a research program capable of attracting external funding. Succesful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience with at least four years of post-doctoral experience of focusing specifically on patch clamp electrophysiology and animal models of cocaine addiction (specifically self-administration). Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
