The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of basic translational neuroscience research . Expertise in the specific area of developmental neuro-biology is required. Responsibilities include developing a translational research program in neuroscience. The senior researcher will investigate neuropathology and study gene-environment interactions in neuropsychiatric disease. Candidate must have an extensive background in molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern neurodevelopment. Experience and an interest in mouse and human stem cell-derived interneurons in cell-based therapies preferred. The individual must also participate in teaching residents and fellows at both the University of Pennsylvania and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education. Board Certified in Psychiatry.
