The Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neuropsychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry or Neuropsychology with a focus on interventions and clinical trial reserch for the prevention and treatement of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative cognitive disorders . Responsibilities include designing, implementing and conducting novel prevention, intervention and clinical drug trials research for Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, pre-clinical Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disease affecting cognitive and behavioral health in older adults. This research will employ established and novel biomarkers of disease and brain function, including quantitative neuropsychological methods, structural/functional neuroimaging, biochemical biomarkers and/or genetics. Independent and collaborative research grant writing, original research publication, teaching and trainee supervision and clinical care are all expected. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. Board Certified or Eligible.

Successful applicant must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, or cognitive neurology with experience in clinical trials and/or biomarkers research, experience in clinical assessment and management of patients, and experience in supervision and training of trainees and staff.
