The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
We are seeking ideal candidates for our Academic Hospitalist Program. Candidates will have experience as a practicing hospitalist and educator but those with less experience will be considered. Salary will commensurate with experience. This recruitment coincides with the recent creation of a unique teaching program at an affiliated hospital and includes substantial time for teaching students and residents. The Hospitalist Group at Penn has been in existence for over ten years and plays an integral role in the hospital infrastructure and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. There is time and support to pursue individual educational, research and quality improvement interest.
