The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Full, Associate, and/or Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Renal Pathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical care, and research. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. An unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility and board certification in AP and/or CP is required.

Candidates with fellowship experience in renal pathology will be most favorably considered. In addition to clinical service, the Clinician-Educator (C-E) track individual will also be expected to participate in translational research. She/he is expected to participate in a broad spectrum of departmental teaching activities including medical students, pathology house-staff and fellows, clinical fellows and at interdepartmental conferences.

C-E track candidates must demonstrate a strong record/potential in clinical, translational or collaborative research. Academic Clinicians must demonstrate excellence in teaching and clinical abilities.
