The Division of Pulmonary Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
The successful candidate will join the Advanced Lung Disease and Lung Transplantation Section as a transplant pulmonologist. Members of the Section play a leading role in the multidisciplinary Lung Transplant Program, which has performed over 700 transplantations since 1991. This individual will be involved in all aspects of pre and post-transplantation care in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. The candidate is expected to develop an area of clinical investigation and scholarship within the well developed collaborative transplantation research community at Penn. Additional responsibilities include teaching at the medical student, medical resident and pulmonary fellowship levels.
Clinician Educators must have excellent qualifications in medical education, research and clinical care. Recent experience in patient-oriented research is also highly desirable.
