Neuroscience of Behavior Initiative - Faculty with Research Interests Bridging across Substance Abuse, Neurodegenerative Disease and/or Depression
Posting Department: Psychiatry
Expire Date: 04/24/2014
The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor positions in either the tenure track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of substance abuse, neurodegenerative disease and/or depression. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.

We are specifically seeking faculty with research bridging across more than one of three diseases of interest, substance abuse, neurodegenerative disease and/or depression to complement existing research programs. Both clinicians and preclinical investigators are invited to apply. Applicants in related research areas will also be considered. Additional responsibilities include participation in the designated department’s training programs, teaching, and patient care activities in the faculty member’s clinical specialty (if relevant). Generous recruitment packages are made possible through new philanthropy. The primary faculty appointment will be in a Perelman School of Medicine department that is most appropriate.

Tenure track faculty will be principal investigators of extramurally funded research products.

Clinician Educator track faculty will typically be focused on collaborative research as co-investigators.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
