The Department of Microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of viral oncology and genetic analysis of viral encoded antigens. Responsibilities include developing a vigorous research program aimed at elucidating mechanisms underlying viral host interactions. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

They will interact and train undergraduate and graduate students, and writing and editing manuscripts and grant applications.
