The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Full, Assistant, and/or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Epidemiology with a focus on Epidemiology. Responsibilities include The Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at thePerelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, seeks highly qualified candidates for positions in the clinician-educator track at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in and commitment to education and research. The primary faculty appointment will be in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Department of Medicine, or other School of Medicine department, as appropriate.
Responsibilities include participation in Penn’s Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics training programs, teaching and patient care activities in the faculty member’s clinical specialty (if relevant), and development of a research program. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.
Clinician Educator track faculty will typically be focused on collaborative research as co-investigators.
We are seeking faculty with research interests in genetic or molecular epidemiology of cancer and cardiovascular disease, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacogenetics, adherence, dermatologic epidemiology, renal epidemiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, reproductive epidemiology, obesity, neurosciences related to degenerative diseases/substance abuse/depression, and epidemiology of gastrointestinal diseases. Applicants with an interest in global health are also solicited. Applicants in other research areas will also be considered. Both clinicians and non-clinicians are invited to apply.
