The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Ophthalmology with a focus on Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery. Responsibilities include include providing Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery patient care at the Scheie Eye Institute and its satellite facilities. Additional responsibilities include conducting clinical research, attending in resident clinic and OR, and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. A 3-year residency in Ophthalmology, and a 2-year fellowship in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery are required. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track.
