The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Full or Associate Professor position in either the tenure track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. We are seeking a board certified internist or medical subspecialist with a record of clinical, academic, research and administrative experience.
We are seeking candidates for the Medicine Service Chief at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC). The PVAMC is a large tertiary care medical center co-located with the University of Pennsylvania. This position will be a joint appointment between the PVAMC and the Department of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Duties include oversight of inpatient medical care, and of the medical subspecialty programs (including medical subspecialty clinics); and education of residents, fellows, and medical students in the Medicine Service. The incumbent will be expected to collaborate with other clinical and administrative leaders at the PVAMC to create and sustain a climate of excellence in clinical care, education, and research. University duties will be mutually agreed upon between the University and the VA Medical Center. The applicant must be a US citizen. Competitive salary; excellent Federal benefits include generous vacation time, pension, 401k, and all Federal holidays.
