ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-Clinician-Educator, Hematopathology

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Hematopathology with a focus on molecular pathology and/or genomics. Experience with polychromatic flow cytometry is strongly encouraged. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology from the American Board of Pathology as well as certification/eligibility in Hematopathology and eligible/licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are required.

Responsibilities will include attending on the hematopathology service, working with related laboratories such as molecular diagnostics and flow cytometry on assay development, participation in a broad spectrum of departmental teaching activities at the medical student, pathology housestaff and fellow levels, as well as clinical fellows at interdepartmental conferences. The Perelman School of Medicine is known for its emphasis on translational research and the candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong record/potential in clinical, translational or collaborative research.
