The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Clinical Psychology with a focus on Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Responsibilities include collaboration on grants, grants management, project management, data management, data analyses, and graphic design. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research.
The candidate must be clinically licensed and/or eligible for a license in Pennsylvania. Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine is preferred (or exam eligible). Ideal candidates will have a dedicated interest in sleep and health (cardiometabolic consequences of insufficient sleep and social and environmental factors that influence sleep) and clinical training and experience with CBT-I and other BSM interventions. Additional experience and skills with neuropsychology, epidemiology, statistics and science writing, and objective assessment of sleep (PSG and actigraphy) are preferred. Finally, candidate will have access to a variety of training opportunities including mentored writing (grants and papers), supervision regarding career development issues.
