The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant, Full, and/or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include conducting a research program in an area relevant to skin and/or skin disease. Applicants must an outstanding record of training and publications. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Current research interests in the Department include: skin and hair follicle stem cells; skin regenerative biology and wound healing; epigenetic regulation of skin development and homeostasis; signaling and transcriptional regulation of skin and hair follicle development; epidermal differentiation, adhesion and signal transduction; development of three-dimensional human tissue models to study mechanisms governing epithelial homeostasis and progression to invasive carcinoma; mouse models of skin cancer; microRNA functions in the skin; the skin microbiome; basic studies of autoimmune blistering and rheumatologic diseases of skin, impetigo and staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome; basic pathophysiologic and immunologic studies of cutaneous T cell lymphoma; dermatoepidemiology; and clinical trials research.
