Academic Physiatrist - Musculoskeletal Physician (VA)

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on Musculoskeletal. Responsibilities include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of musculoskeletal medicine services to a wide range of patients. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical care, and research.

We are seeking candidates interested in expanding our research activities in the area of musculoskeletal medicine and who are committed to an academic career. The selected candidate will practice at the VA Medical Center with access to VA funding sources, as well as at one of our other Penn Medicine Rehabilitation locations. Successful candidates must have excellent clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our science missions. Spine injection skills are a plus.

As an academic faculty member, the selected candidate must bring educational skills for medical student and resident teaching. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.
