The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Radiology with a focus on MRI. Responsibilities include working with well established investigators on an NIH supported project directed toward the development of methods for selective acidification and de-energization of melanoma cancer models in mice to chemotherapeutic drugs with alkylating agents, radiation therapy and hyperthermia. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in the application of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging (MRI) techniques for the study of cancer in mice and humans.
